Parcel Lockers in Apt buildings 03-14CUPW: What are the values and how does it change the route. Is there a change in procedure and if so, what is it?? Is there a time value involved?? CPC: It was discussed at national consultation with CUPW. It is considered a safe drop so there is no additional or change in time values associated with this activity  
Walks with end times changing 03-2014CUPW: Walks are being adjusted with split shifts all the time without the LC or supervisor knowing about it. Some are even 1.5 minutes. This becomes an issue when or if the employee works overtime on his own walk and the supervisor explains to the employee that it is not overtime because there is a split shift on the route. Why can't the employee be notified ahead of time. CPC: We are allowed to implement split shifts under the collective agreement. Agree that the employee and supervisor should be notified ahead of time and the reason. Julie will follow up with the RMO'sJulie P. Sandra D.
Scanning of parcels for delivery 03-2014CUPW: Every employee is being told to scan the parcels everyday. It was only supposed to be a matchup/check count for these items. There is no time value for these scannings. You said it was only a once in a while event if the count did not match up. CPC: Will follow upS. Dyment Mgrs
Forcebacks 03-14CUPW: The rules are not being applied consistently, ajax as an example. You are forcing back by the wave, it should be one list. Unfair to other employees. CPC: We have been utilising the wave lists for forcebacks since PT started as per the original minutes from consultation. There are grievances on this issue as well on the utilising of one list or two in these instances.  
Zone 9 Contact Information 03-14CUPW: We were not updated on who the manager is and their contact information. CPC: The old Zone 7 was split and an additional Zone 9 was created. Zone 7 is now 280 Progress Avenue and Zone 9 consists of the other stations that were in Zone 7 i.e. 31 Brodie, 14th Avenue, and Don Mills. Tony Giovanne is the acting Manager of Zone 7 (416-717-8104) and Julie Parent is the manager of Zone 9(647-321-0230)  
Canadian Tire National MOA 03-14Details of the MOA were discussed. There will be mini-meetings, info-book postings, etc. as per the local process. Further information will be available as it becomes available closer to the planned delivery date of April 22nd, 2014. No outstanding concerns at this time.  
Sortation of parcels/AO's, rotation day overtime 03-14CPC: The issue has been causing concern regarding grievances received in the past. We receive grievances from both classifications. Without prejudice we propose to set up a procedure within the stations in the scarborough local that will have an equal amount of group 1 and group 2 people to do the sortation on rotation day overtime e.g. 1, 2, or 3 of each group would be called in depending on the amount of hours required. CUPW: We will review and respond if we are agreeable or propose an alternative.  
Same day delivery - changes 03-14CUPW: The deal was that these employees would be doing specific duties if same day came back. One major customer dropped out for a while, the procedures should be followed. CPC: Noted, we will ensure but many of the same day temps are making themselves unavailable.  
Barcharts - Scarborough stations 03-14CUPW: This is the second year that none of your stations are complying. Chart shown of which stations in the local that are not received since last September. CPC: We have been following up with this. You should be receiving updated lists shortlyJan M.
Depot 11 offload study 03-14CUPW: We would like to raise an issue with the way the load/unloading study is being done. Currently in some facilities only one door is open at the end of the day and the study may not be in line with that reality. Our concern is that the study will be incorrect when it is being done at Depot 11 with the multiple entrances and exits into the facility. CPC: An email is was sent to Sandra D. and Glen R. and Mike copied for their awareness. Can be raised again prior to commencement of study. Sandra returned email stating this should not be an isse  
Transfer lists 03-2014CUPW: The transfer lists are usually sent to local president. Have not received any since January per spreadsheet. Email was received from Claire in PCR on Feb 19th that it would be coming. Nothing has received yet. CPC: Penny Comport is following up with PCR in GatewayP. Comport
Elections 03-2014CUPW: Local elections are next Thursday so you may see reps handing out flyers, campaining, etc.  
LCA's and prep at Don Mills 03-2014CUPW: The LCA'a are being told to back off their regular duties and do depot receiving instead. CPC: We are in the process of training all the LCA's to do this in the one off event there is a customer that drops product off between 10 and 12 pm. Product primarily comes in after noon which the lca's do but we are ensuring that all are trained just in case.J. Parent
Union PT survey 03-2014CUPW: We are one of 4 locals in the country identified to conduct a survey with the employees. There will be some reps asking to visit the facility to speak to employees.  
Article 52.01(e)(f) priority assignment 03-2014CPC: We would like to discuss routes not going out for a day or more under this clause. A mobile route is considered a priority assignment and we want this situation added as a priority and utilise this portion of the collective agreement so customers are not waiting for their mail more than a day or more. CUPW: We would like separate consultation on this matter. CPC: The parties will reach out to confirm dates to discuss further without prejudice.  
Sairs and Ljosh minutes 03-2014CUPW: We are still not getting the sairs and ljosh minutes. For clarification again the email they are to be sent to is CPC: Will follow up with the mgrs.Mgrs J. Mullett
Hraccess issues 03-14CUPW: We would like to have someone from accesshr at the meeting to address issues. Too many employees are having issues and their supervisor is not able to provide the answer for them. CPC: We are trying to arrange to have the accesshr manager attend. As requested in previous emails, send the details of the cases ahead of the meeting. She will attend one of the upcoming meetings.  
Additional A/L columns to be posted 03-2014CUPW: As per the Burkett arbitration, there will be 16 additional columns posted for bidding further to the proposed blocks that management had initially implemented. CPC: These will be posted as per consultations between union and mgt subsequent to the award
