I am satisfied that the separation of presorted mail to its appropriate letter carrier case by a Group 2 Employee (bagman or unassigned letter carrier) as opposed to a Group 1 internal postal clerk is contrary to the job descriptions defined for both groups. I am satisfied that the function of doing that sortation is properly a Group 1 function. Accordingly, the parties are directed to meet in order to determine an appropriate amount in compensation for each of the grievors. I shall remain seized.
