FSA / FACILITY MOVEMENTS

Local Consultations have not taken place, but Canada Post has announced changes that will take place with the next round of Modern Post/Postal Transformation coming to the Scarborough Local in March 2013. As usual, things have changed, little or no information has been provided, consultations will take place in the future.

These Real Estate changes are not part of the Technological Changes Notices under Article 29, but simple movements of work, and splitting of Group 2 Units in restructures. The impact on employees will be significant, and you should have as much information as soon as possible. The employers notice does not indicate if the moves are just Urban or Urban and RSMC.

RICHMOND HILL MAIN

L4C will remain at 21 Arnold St, while L4E & L4S will move to the current Unionville installation at 3930 14th Avenue.

WEST BEAVER CREEK

RICHMOND HILL DEPOT 20 will move to a new installation being constructed at 31 Brodie Drive.
THORNHILL will be split up, with L3T moving to 31 Brodie Drive, while L4J will remain at West Beaver Creek.

WILLOWDALE DEPOT 3

M2M will remain at 101 Placer Court, while M2N will go to 500 Oakdale and become part of the Toronto Local.

WILLOWDALE B

M2K will remain at 699 Sheppard Ave East, while M2L will go to 70 Wynford Drive.

MARKHAM

Markham will move to a new installation being constructed at 31 Brodie Drive.

Until consultations take place, the impact on the employees is unknown, as is the structure of the resulting Units for the bidding and restructure process. Some employees in Willowdale Depot 3 will be sent to the Toronto Local with the restructure implementation.

As new information becomes available, it will be provided to you as soon as possible.
