On February 7, 2012 the National Employer sent a new Technological Change Notice under clause 29.03(b) that will impact the Willowdale Depot 3, Willowdale B, West Beaver Creek, Richmond Hill and the Y.D.C. in a next few months.

There have been no consultations as of yet, so I cannot provide information on changes to the buildings or relocation. Undoubtedly, some of these locations will be moving, but the employer is not forthcoming in their plans. The projected losses of 92 positions is significant, most Clerk (P04) jobs are gone. As of this date, the employer has not indicated their intentions concerning the Group 1 employees.

With the restructures, Letter Carriers in these stations will deliver all the parcels now done by the YDC, and the RPO and SLB clearances. CPC expects to achieve 100% motorization, and significant changes to the work performed.

CPC is projecting a minimum reduction of approximately 92 positions, not taking into account mail volumes.

There have been no Notices concerning the RSMC employees as of this date.

The Local Executive will have a meeting with your station prior to you getting sequenced mail.

Once there is more information available we will provide it to you.

In Solidarity
