May 11, 2011

In two weeks, things may change drastically for us, hopefully not, but certainly the status quo will be in jeopardy.

If either party indicates there will be a lock out or strike, 72 hours notice is required. We will communicate this to you immediately if it happens.

The employer may terminate coverage under our benefit plans. Please ensure any prescriptions, eyeglass, dental work is completed by May 23, 2011. The employer may suspend other provisions of the Collective Agreement or impose the rollbacks they want.

We are asking you today to take a collective break together at 8.00 AM to show the employer that you will fight to maintain what we have, and we will fight for our jobs.

We need to send a message from all stations today, you may not have an executive officer present.  There was a Steward / Picket Captains / Activist meeting last night, your steward or picket captains may have some additional information for you.

In Solidarity
