NEW RESTRUCTURE SCHEDULE

NEW MAJOR & MINOR RESTRUCTURE DATES

Attached is the most recent Major ("A") and Minor ("C") Restructure Schedule provided by the employer. There are consultations scheduled with the employer on January 26 & 29, 2004, which may alter the "C" restructuring of the MSC to MLC project.

MALVERN

The Malvern Plan "B" restructure, movement of M1X to 280 Progress, and the MSC to MLC in Malvern will be implemented on February 16, 2004 (see Malvern Bulletin, Jan 23, 2004).

MARKHAM

Markham is scheduled for a Plan "A" restructure commencing with a Volume Count on March 22, 2004, and implementation on August 16, 2004. Under the new Collective Agreement, Group 2 employees owning assignments in Markham on March 22, 2004 will be entitled to bid "First Round" and all assignments will be open for bidding.  Group 2 Employees currently in Article 54 placements will be accommodated in the usual manner.

DON MILLS / TORONTO "O"

Don Mills is scheduled for a Plan "A" restructure commencing with a Volume Count on May 03, 2004, and implementation on October 18, 2004. Under the new Collective Agreement, Group 2 employees owning assignments in Don Mills / Toronto “O” on May 03, 2004 will be entitled to bid "First Round" and all assignments will be open for bidding.  Group 2 Employees currently in Article 54 placements will be accommodated in the usual manner.

There is a very high percentage of PV walks, and many employees are locked into walks for accepting PV payments during a restructure in Don Mills / Toronto "O". This is your opportunity to get off walks, and reduce your workload by saying "NO" to PV!  You should consider the changes in Malvern when opting for PV (see Malvern Bulletin, Jan 23, 2004). If you opt for PV and accept payment, you will be locked into your walk until at least 2008, unless you transfer out of the Local or change Classification. The employer does not restructure locations with high PV acceptance as often as other locations.

Once further information is available, it will be provided.
