The Scarborough Local will conduct a RATIFICATION VOTE on the TENTATIVE AGREEMENT on Wednesday September 17, 2003. This vote will take place at the Hilton Suites Hotel at Warden Ave. and Highway 7 in Markham. The time of the single meeting is: 7.00 pm.

You must attend an information session with questions and answers prior to voting. All members in good standing are entitled to attend and are entitled to vote. The National Union should have distributed to all members who have signed up a copy of the TENTATIVE AGREEMENT, by mail to their home. We know there are errors in this mailing and some members in good standing did not receive copies. Along with the distribution of this Bulletin, your location will receive some extra copies of the TENTATIVE AGREEMENT. If you have not signed up yet, you will be able to sign up at the meeting, attend and vote.

You are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting and vote. Our jobs and our futures are hanging in the balance.

The Local Executive recommends that you vote “YES” to your TENTATIVE AGREEMENT. Many issues are still to-be clarified. Come to the meeting, ask your questions and vote, it’s your democratic right.

In Solidarity
