Our Director of Information Technology advises that any “employment record” information is covered by PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and cannot be posted on the web without first obtaining the written consent of the individual(s) the information pertains to.

 In our estimation, Local Seniority lists showing seniority dates, continuous service dates and HRID numbers attached to names of individuals fall within the protection of the act. In order to post them without being in breach of the act the local should obtain signed consent forms from everyone on the lists and exclude those who do not provide consent.

 As a result no lists will be published on this site.  The employer is required to post and maintain lists in each workplace.
