Responsibility

Due Date

9:25 AM

Meeting begins

Good Morning

CPC – YDC is read to go. (SIC - editor)

CUPW – Is there enough staff at YDC, we understood you may be short?

CPC – T.C. is addressing this. It must be complete by tomorrow.

CUPW – Our clerks tell us that only one shift will move the trucks. What about clothing entitlement?

CPC – Has this not been addressed?

CUPW – The staff  who move the trucks should be given coats. Also remember that shift rotation may coming into play

CPC – You are not entitled to table four, but we will look at it on an individual bases. What happens in Winnipeg Dean?

CUPW – All except shift 3. The drivers Licence Issue also stops some people from these jobs.

CPC – For the first week will use flip charts and address problems that arise. Bo will look at these, and address ALL of them.

CUPW – We don’t want this done in isolation. For example, a driver comes back, an hour late. What are you going to do?

CPC – We have two supervisors ready to go out with the MSC to examine that problem.

CUPW – We have some timing sheets, and will provide. We are offering assistance.

CPC – Send us this.

CUPW – This is a modified copy from Carl, and is very good for solving problems.

CPC – Thank you.

CUPW – Stem time adjustments, when will this be dealt with?

CPC – June 2005.

CUPW – There was no stem time in Aug. 5 minutes nor was there an agreement on universal time. This date is not acceptable and this will be bought to the national steering committee.

CPC – BO will be looking at this. We have an information sheet for you, this identifies the people go to for answers.

Re; pillars of responsibly. This will stop people from getting wrong information. You will get this today.

CUPW – Cross loop penalties without union observers?

CPC – When this started on Saturday we got a note from Leare about Sunday. On the Monday I asked on the floor and no one was available.

CUPW – The latest one?

CPC – We had to get this done.

CUPW – You didn’t follow the process. We would not show up at Gateway because, we will not cross a picket line.

CPC – But that was only at the south gate?

CUPW – Our policy is not to cross a picket line, or attend a facility where a picket line exists.

9:55 – 10:10 Break

CUPW – We would like a similar information for Toronto that BO is doing in Scarborough.

CPC – Send us the name.

CUPW – Phased in of the parcel volumes is a good idea, we are don’t see where it ends?

CPC – We will review this.

CUPW – We want the deadlines for when the contractor ends delivery. This too will be brought up to national.

Bidding. We are concerned about how the bidding went in Scarborough, and don’t want this done, for example, Ajax didn’t not get the full package. It was rushed. Some information changed and MSC’s found that instead of 18 SLBs, the tour contained 18 pickups. It appears that some supervisors are giving mixed messages. Letters given out to MSC’s  told about a seminar that YDC knew nothing about?

CPC – This was last week? Because this week they are in training.

CUPW – We have not been told about this for Toronto Local. Is this going to occur? Also remember the MSC’s in station.

CPC – We have learned a great deal from all of this and plan on not making the same mistakes again.

CUPW – Some of the trainers are telling the MSC’s – Parcel delivery and the sequence numbers are not following a line of route. Priorities cause drivers to change the line of route. Trainers have told the MSC’s the priorities will change time values, we have not heard this. This is inside truck time.

CPC – We have not heard this but we will check.

CUPW – We understand that priorities, may forced the driver to break from loop sequence then they would do so. We

are also worried about equal opportunity list and how it will be planned. We would like to understand the process.  For example the flex part time inside the loop first, the part time in the loop, then the list. There is also the issue of cross loop penalties. Meaning that time values when you are doing OT, drive times from loop to loop. Further to the trainer issue we have heard that flex part time can do their tour “any way you want”. This seems to be a little too open ended.

CPC – No there is a process, and it should be followed. Follow the sequence.

CUPW – When do the MSC break off to do priorities?

CPC – The MSC’s have to use some discretion.

CUPW – The sequence numbers are not the best way to follow for a line of route, the job still requires knowledge of the area. Finally, the tour sheets should have a pickup map, and a general map of the area. This will give MSC’s the proper tools for their job.

CPC – We are working on them and agree that is a good idea. They may not be ready for Monday though.

CUPW – How will George know the splits, for radio calls?

CPC – We are working with George on that.

CUPW – PDSL when will the training for that happen? Also Mail pollution is still an issue, Toronto J  and H is still getting 80 parcels a day. Charlie is moving them every day. We believe they are coming out of south central plant.

CPC – Does it have a BMF label?

CUPW – No.

CPC – They are arriving in the AO mono?

CUPW – Yes, this is still happening.

CPC – Richmond Hill as well?

CUPW – Yes.

CPC – What type of delivery are these parcels? We thought that this was resolved. We will look at this. This impacts our service numbers.

CUPW – MMC don’t have the time for parcel delivery, for either expedited or regular.

CPC – Yes, we will look into this, the only parcels going to station are for boxes, returns and RSMC’s.

CUPW – when will Unionville get the increase in parcels, will the RMO’s be in place to see this. We are not happy with your schedule and want a firm date.

CPC – We don’t have one yet.

10:55 – 11: 15  Break
