Parcel Model Update:
Revised Implementation Dates
Summary
The
following is an update on the implementation schedule for the new Parcel Model.
There have been some adjustments to the schedule as a result of technical
issues related to structuring and subsequent bidding involving both group 1 and
group 2 employees.
The
goal is to implement the model in stages in order to ensure the most effective
implementation.
o
The YDC
implementation began last week. By October 25, 2004, all Expedited volumes will
be added. On or before January 4, 2005, all Xpresspost will be added.
o
At the West
Parcel Delivery Hub, the implementation will begin with the running of the PAXIS
sorter on October 17, 2004. The new loop structure will be operational
effective November 22, 2004. Expedited volumes will be added by December 13,
2004, and Xpresspost will be added on or by January 4, 2005.
o
At the 1 Yonge
Hub, the loops will be operational November 8, 2004. Expedited will be added by
November 24, 2005 and Xpresspost product will be added on or before January 4,
2005.
