Parcel
Model Update: Go live!
Summary:
The first part of our
two-phase Parcel Model implementation plan goes ‘live’ on Monday, October 4!
The York Distribution Centre (YDC) Hub will be the first site in the GTA to
begin Operations using the new model.
The Facts:
The Parcel Model is now
ready to go live at YDC! A green light status is given because:

All routes are currently
staffed.
·
All machines and software have
been programmed and tested.
·
All supervisors, mail service
couriers (MSCs) and postal clerks have taken the required training.
Watch for the following
as part of this implementation phase:
Day 1 (October 4) Parcel Delivery will include Regular
Parcels, Priority Courier, Cash on Delivery (CODs), Customs items and MSC
Customer Pick Up (CPU) items only.
Day 3 (October 6) Parcel Delivery will include all
delivery items listed above, as well as contractor CPUs.
Week 2 (Starting October 12)
Parcel Delivery will include all delivery items listed above, as well as
Montreal and Ottawa Expedited, Xpresspost—which will arrive on direct trailers
at YDC.
