Y.D.C., March 19, 2004
On March 19 2004, the parcel sampling
ended at the YDC. CPC will now conduct sampling at WPPD, and then 1
Yonge St.
CPC is still attempting to complete
the design of the Loops. The final configuration is unknown at this time.
Once the Loops have been defined based on the Parcel Delivery aspect, the
employer will start to sequence the tours with driver input.
The pictures below show the Green Line Machine being installed
and parking areas proposed by CPC.
Double Clicking on a Picture will make it go Full Screen!

North end of the Green Line, with basic run off curves attached. Note the fire
door behind the roller system.
The same run off at the Fire Door viewed from another angle. The center of the
run off will follow the yellow lines on the floor. Below you'll see the
difference.
A closer view of the run offs. They are in pairs, and will run in parallel to
the areas where clerks will sequence and rack the loads.
Here is a view from the North end of the facility to the South end.
This shows the distance between the wall and the main belt.
This is a closer view, showing the motors being installed.
One of the two electrical control panels for the Green Line. This one is
located approximately in the middle of the main belt. This view is from the
North, looking south.
Same electrical panel, this view is from the South and, looking North.
Run offs in close proximity with the electrical panel.
CPC is reviewing the parking options at YDC, as it will be a problem. As a
result of parking, final allocation of employees and trucks has not been
finalized.
CPC is planning to covert this area to parking and a driveway. Note the
citizens walking along the sidewalk at the road level. CPC may have to
reinforce this roadway.

Do you think the City of Scarborough will let CPC cut down these trees and pave
the area?
How many trucks can you park here?
The run offs are starting to be assembled.
Yes, that is rust on the rollers, it's a third hand machine, for a first class
project. Obviously Liberal sponsorship funds don't go to companies refurbishing
CPC equipment.
These are not bleachers for the RMO's, but the support legs for the other run
offs. Next week the run offs will expand across the balance of the floor.

Junk or a crucial part?
Flatbed carts, for future use.
