Jeff Paulin:

Handed out MSC – MLC conversion schedule.  Vacant routes are prioritized for conversion at the stations listed.  The schedule represents vacant routes as of April 19, 2004.

S. White:

What will happen to the unassigned P/T MSCs at the stations after the internal bidding, where will they be assigned?

M. Duguette:

Request not to assign the unassigned P/T MSCs at the stations, the MSCs who did not bid or not successful with their bids, to tours at the Transportation Hubs.

L. Wilkinson:

Recommend converting the vacant P/T MSC assignments at the stations to P/T MLC assignments.

After discussing the staffing problems that will develop if Article 13 was not followed for the unassigned P/T MSCs at the stations an agreement was reached.

The agreement is as follows:

1.       CPC agreed not to assign the unassigned MSCs, because of the April 19 bid, at the stations to the Transportation Hub.  These MSCs will be assigned to other available MSC assignments within Delivery.

2.       CUPW agreed that CPC at the Transportation Hub may back fill an equivalent number of assignments with Temporary Employee.  The equivalent number is based on the potential number of MSCs that would have been assigned to the Transportation Hub.

R. Gualtieri:

Starting 2nd week of sampling we will add the green tubs used for clearing of SLBs to the sampling mix within the vehicle.

S. Kolmpar:

Requested clarification of the 605 Notice for section at the WPDD and Yonge Transportation.

WPDD:  Will this section be part of BMF or West Delivery?

Yonge Transportation:  Presently there is only 2 sections at Yonge Delivery, Toronto B / Adelaide and Toronto Depot 1 & 2, will Yonge Transportation then be its own section?

Requested information on the staffing process for these new sections.

R. Gualtieri:

Will amend 605 Notice to clarify and answer Ms. Kolmpar’s questions as stated above.  Request the waiver of the notice to facilitate the hiring at both WPDD and Yonge Transportation.

Outlined proposed implementation schedule:

YDC – July 26 with exiting MSC volume and CPC pick ups only

July 28 include Maritime pick ups

August 3 include Maritime delivery volume

Yonge Transportation – August 9 with existing MSC volume and CPC pick ups only

August 11 include Maritime pick ups

August 16 include Maritime delivery volume

West Transportation – August 23 with existing MSC volume and CPC pick ups only

August 25 include Maritime pick ups

August 30 include Maritime delivery volume

The above stated schedule is subject to change depending on many factors.

W. Chan:

Requested MSCs who perform commercial pick ups to deliver information letters about parcel project to our commercial pick up customers.

CUPW agreed.

D. Burke:

Inquired if Delivery Support will use the November sample data at YDC for restructure purpose?

Management:  Will review with Delivery Support and advise

CUPW:

1.       Confirm the parcel volumes for 2 Bloor Street West and East, there was an extreme fluctuation of volume from January to February.

2.       Office Tower, any decision on delivery mode.

3.       Requested the review of STR for BMF for the month of January 04

4.       Requested copies of the loops
