The Corporation agrees to distribute and present the package to the Team Leaders as a guide.
Revised MSC Training
Management is waiting to hear back from the Health and Safety team in Head Office.
Manulife PPD
The Union stated that they don’t necessarily agree with the process. Looking at old PPD for employees concerns us. It will impact the Article 54 process. The Union further requests a copy of the Job Suitablitly Tool (JST).
Management advised the Union that they are not in receipt of any new reviews. Further discussions to take place at the Article 54 meetings.
Flex Drivers
The Union request details of 1 particular flex driver on tour #318. We want to know how many hours he has worked while on the assignment. We are concerned that 8 hours of work is being offered priort o offering all PT employees by equal opportunity.
Management advised that they are following the proper procedure and will provide the details.
New Business
The Union requested updates for the Appendix AA training.
Management advised that 16 employees require the training. Training will begin the beginning of July 2009. There will be 3 sessions delivered to cover off the 16 employees. Not all will attend at once.
Safety Shoes
The Union asked if the entire facility (YDC) is going to be designated as a steel toe area? The concern is that there is rolling stock and racks on the floor.
Management is in the process of reviewing the matter with the Health and Safety Team.
Management advised the Union that on June 25, 2009 an environmental study is scheduled to take place at the YDC facility. On this date they team would like to mark out areas where they would potentially drill out on June 29, 2009
The Union would like for a project notification to be put into place outlining the details of the project.
Management agreed and in the process of seeking out the details.
Next Meeting July 15, 2009.
