MINUTES OF CONSULTATION BETWEEN GTA-DELIVERY-TORONTO EAST AND CUPW-SCARBOROUGH LOCAL May 4, 2009
In Attendance
B.Stephen M. Duquette
The Purpose of the Consultation was to determine the best method to bid Carry Over Weeks of Annual leave for the Ajax Station.
Management had originally attempted to post and bid a partial block of 27 weeks of annual leave. The Union objected to a number of issues including the problem arising from partial weeks carry over and that a full year should be posted not just 27 weeks.
Management agreed to post a full block with the exception of the December block as this would impede our ability to provide acceptable service to our customers at the busiest time of the year. As to the single day and partial weeks, they would be bid separately on an adhoc basis and approved according to operational requirements.
Union was in agreement.
The Corporation notes that this Memorandum is without prejudice or precedent to any other such agreement.
