NIGHT RECOVERY (TN) BIDDING GUIDELINES

 

GROUP 1 TN SCHEDULE                                                         April 17, 2009

 

BIDDING AREAS

ZONE 5- DON MILLS/STATION O

                UNIONVILLE

                WILLOWDALE B/WILLOWDALE D

                WILLOWDALE 2/WILLOWDALE 3

 

ZONE 6- 280 PROGRESS AVE

                SCARBOROUGH DEPOT 11

 

ZONE 7- AJAX/PICKERING

                RICHMOND HIL

                MARKHAM

 

ZONE 9  THORNHILL DELIVERY CENTRE

 

The TN schedule will consist of 12 week schedules beginning on May 3, 2009.

Employees earn 2 days in each 12 week schedule

Full time and part time schedules will be separate

One full time and one part time employee will be authorized TN leave within each schedule

All TN is a pre-authorized leave entitlement

TN must be taken in full day entitlements based on employee’s scheduled hours even though it is earned in fractional entitlements

TN is restricted on Monday and Tuesday if Monday is a holiday

Employees must first bid their entitlements based on seniority before carryover

TN cannot be cancelled once is scheduled

TN can only be displaced in cases of periods of other approved leave but must be selected as carryover by the end of the next schedule.

TN days that come available will be offered in order of seniority.

Scheduled TN is not portable unless those days are available on the schedule where the employee moves to a new bidding area.

If an employee moves to a shift or assignment where they no longer earn TN, any remaining TN cannot be bid on as part of the schedule.  Requests can be made with supervisor.

    

NOTE:  Given the accumulation of TN credits, employees must bid all carryover within the next two periods.

 

GROUP 2 TN SCHEDULE                                                          April 17, 2009

 

Schedules for LCA’s will be established by facility given coverage is via RLC assignment.

TN SCHEDULE-GROUP 1 AND GROUP 2

 

May 3, 2009 to July 25, 2009

July 26, 2009 to October 17, 2009

October 17, 2009 to January 9, 2010

January 10, 2010 to April 3, 2010

 

CONSULTATION WILL TAKE PLACE PRIOR TO THE JANUARY 10, 2010 SCHEDULE TO REVIEW PROCESS COMPLIANCE.

 

 

REFERENCE ARTICLES 33.18 AND 14.01 (B) (iii)

 

 

TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE MAY 3RD SCHEDULE SUPERVISORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO POST THE BID NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2009 WITH A CLOSING DATE OF MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2009.

 

SUPERVISOR SHOULD PROVIDE EMPLOYEES WITH A COPY OF THEIR TN CREDIT BALANCE FOR EACH BIDDING SCHEDULE.
