APOC SORTING RSMC ROUTES

No master on-call relief list exists at present; each individual station with relief has their own list. We continue to work with G. Pratt for assistance when required.      Closed from last month.

MAPLE

There is a new manager, Ms. Barb Pricop. L. Waine has communicated with her; she will search for previous minutes and send. K. Davidson to-date has not forwarded copies of the two outstanding grievances so as a first level hearing can be arranged. B. Pricop has been advised that copies of LJOSH minutes are to be forwarded to the Scarborough union.

AT HOME TRAINING

If any concerns arise, they are to be addressed with managers.  Closed from last month.

PAYROLL EXCEPTION REPORT

The exception report has been streamlined and issues have been reduced. It is noted that a large number of issues arise by use of the ID number rather than the contract number. Closed.

IDENTIFICATION OF ON-CALL RELIEF & HELPERS

Manager’s still in process of compiling, hopefully complete by next month.

RACKS-WBC

Forty new C-31s have been ordered. Management representatives are unaware of a rack falling over striking an employee’s vehicle. Union requested to provide and a SAIR will be completed.

AJAX CASE

Case and signage obtained.                Closed.

TIME VALUES

Rich Hill had been identified as a test site for RSMC time values, review over the next twelve months.                            Closed.

REPLACEMENTS, DISCIPLINE

The union stated that they consider a RSMC being advised that their replacement’s services will no longer be required or authorized as discipline.

Management stated that replacements are not considered as employees; therefore discipline is not being levied.               Closed.

NEW BUSINESS

PERSONAL DAYS

The union stated that this new provision limits usage restriction only to the day prior or preceding a statutory holiday.

Management stated that notification the morning of the absence is permissible provided that their replacement is available and present to perform their route. Should this not occur, then a restriction applies.

Management to confirm whether as of July, 2009 on call reliefs assignments include coverage of personal days. Definition of Major Urban Centres requires clarification as well. Subsequent to this meeting it is confirmed that relief assignments will include personal days.

TRAINING BOOKLETS

The union indicated that a shortage of training books exists. It is uncertain whether this is in reference to the At Home Training booklet, G. Tomaszewski to confirm and clarify with J. Parent.

Next meeting February 11, 2009.
