[Management]  Read out Vacation procedures based on past practice and made amendments as required [see attachment]

 

[Union]  When the supervisor makes an error forcing an employee to take a week, the employee should not be penalized.

 

[Management]  Agreed.

 

[Union]  Union had concerns regarding November Bids were not done as a result some employees may not be in place where they may miss out on better choices.

 

[Management] The Union concerns were taken under advisement, the Vacation bid will continue.

 

[Management]  Group 1 bidding  Zone 5 by zone, Zone 6,7 by station.

 

[Union]  As of Jan 1st  RSMC vacation will be portable in the MUC [GTA].

            As of  Jul 1st RSMC  - the Corporation is responsible for all absences.

            RSMC vacation process must include Maple and Souffville

            RSMC should be allowed to book the extra day derived from booking vacation on

a week which contained a statuary holiday and the RSMC be allowed to take that

extra day on a vacant week from the vacation board on any day.

 

[Management]  RSMC will be allowed to request the use of the extra day, however, Management will only grant such request based on operational requirements.

 

[Union]  Does not agree, RSMC should be allowed to use the extra day on the vacant block, on any day without restriction.
