YDC Unfinished Business

1)      West Hill RPO Carding Issue.

Item closed.

2)      Concern on facility security

To be followed up.

3)      YDC Renovation Update

To be followed up.

4)      Barchart Review

To be followed up.

Union:  Requested that the Backfill assignments be sent to union local on a monthly basis.

Union:  The request has not been complied.

Management:  To be followed up.

5)      Christmas Plan Update.

According to the previous meeting, union has committed to review management’s proposal and provide a counter proposal.

Union:  (Dean Roosevelt) Have not seen the counter proposal, yet.

New Business

            Injury Report – to be followed up

Union:  Article 54, Union wants a list of Modified + Restrictions on a weekly basis.  Also, requested to see a list of Modified: their restrictions, what they do.

            Steward’s investigation Time

Union:  Shop steward shall be allowed to stay behind within an hour.  Old practice was that a steward was called to represent a member, an unassigned Relief will go out to continue the tour.  Once the meeting is over, the Relief is called back and the original tour holder continues the tour.

Management:  To be followed up.

Accident Investigation

Union: Get union involved in accident investigation; a good and reliable digital camera should be utilized when conducting an investigation.

Management:  To be followed up.

Flex Drivers

Union:  Clarification on sequencing; why the items are in low numbers.

Management:  To be followed up.

Part Time MSC’s

            Union:  Extended to cover F/T tours, provide a list

            Management:  To be followed up.

Update on this item:  Provided to Union via email on Dec 03, 2008.

            Shop Steward on Night Shift

Union:  Bill Hutchinson is backfilling a F/T – P04.  Any union steward can represent all the shifts, that is, 24h.

                        Management:  To be followed up.

Update on this item:  Bill Hutchinson was back to his P/T-P04 position in shift # 2 as of Nov 30/08.

            Nov 11^th – Remembrance Day

                        Union:  Wanted to know if there was a sign up sheet for MSC

                        Management:  Yes.  Item closed.

Next month’s meeting is scheduled on Dec 17^th, 2008 at 280 Progress at 9:00.
