                                MVI UNIONVILLE CONSULTATION

Date:  Tuesday, April 1, 2008

In Attendance:

CUPW Scarborough Local                                   Management

M. Duquette                                                          J. Coe

T. Parkes                                                               K. Nicholson

S. Chapman                                                           D. Stever

Union requested a copy of the 120 points of call.  This info was provided by D, Stever

Union requested the percentage of business.  Management stated that the business poc represents 24% versus the required 26%.

Management stated that the original list identified several poc that were invalid.  Information was sent back to Delivery Support.  Additional poc were provided.

This process continued until all poc were valid except 20 duplicate poc have now been identified.

The union asked why there were duplicates if the poc were random.  The union asked who was generating the list.  The union suggested that Michael Musing be involved in this process.  The union stated that we must give consideration to moving the restructure date.  The union stated that an RMO should have been on site to identify and verify the poc.

Management stated there was no RMO on site involved in this process and asked if RMO’s have been involved at other sites such as Willowdale Depot 2.  D. Stever confirmed RMO participation at Willowdale Depot 2.

If was agreed by both parties that the counting would continue as a dry run.  D. Stever will obtain the current program and determine a new restructure date.

It was identified that there may be an issue with missing unit numbers on 038’s.  The 075 does not reflect the update timeframe.

There were no red cards provided for A/O count for LC to insert in mail slot at poc.

Management stated that a process would be established for this purpose.

The union suggested that the restructure schedule identify upcoming MVI dates.  D. Stever will investigate this suggestion.

It was agreed that a determination must be made as to what happened, why it happened to see if the data can be salvaged.

The union also suggested that relief counters be established as back up.  Management agreed.
