AJAX
The union stated that an individual acting as a replacement has not been paid for a day’s work on July 16, 2007. L. Charles will provide the name to J. Wineck so as payment can be affected.
RELIEF FOR RICH HILL, PICKERING, AJAX, UNIONVILLE, AND MAPLE
The union stated that Maple is not following the scheduled consulted on with B. Stephen, especially; Maple has implemented a “black out” period. The union’s position is that consistency should apply. Management will review with J. Hill. The collective agreement is silent as to whether any periods may be excluded.
It has been subsequently revealed that Maple does not report to J. Hill.
PICKERING
The union stated that R. Woods had advised the employees of their route changes in October, changes to be effected in November. No explanations were provided, how changes would be effected or their impact. In the past G. Pratt was consulted and involved. The DSO acted earlier than should have occurred. Management stated that in future those changes will be communicated; we have met with the employees and apologized.
MAPLE H&S MINUTES
The union stated that they would be forwarded. Management stated that they believed they were forwarded.
NEW BUSINESS
COVERAGE OF ROUTES-AJAX
J. LeBlanc has raised an issue with respect to an official relief being owed monies for work performed. There appears to be an issue with “sub-contracting” of a route, and payment.
J. Wineck will review.
Next meeting, February 13, 2008.
