MINUTES OF MONTHLY CONSULTATION BETWEEN GTA-DELIVERY-TORONTO EAST-RSMC AND CUPW-SCARBOROUGH LOCAL OCTOBER 11, 2006

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
PARCELS TO DOOR
The union stated that J. Hill was provided the information September 21, 2006, an approximate claim of $2800.00. Management will follow up with J. Hill.
YEARLY INSPECTIONS
Management stated that there is a new supervisor now present, as well as G. Pratt assisting in the process, inspections are continuing. Unionville is up to date, will review status of WBC.
LOG SHEETS-UNIONVILLE
Log sheets are available in designated place.
UNIONVILLE-YELLOW PAGES
The route salary has been adjusted. The annual inspection of SS17 was July 1, 2006. The employee has not been recording parcels. The union questioned whether the employee has the right to claim additional monies for delivery of Yellow Pages. The employee has been advised that no additional monies will be paid; the employee receives app. 24 pieces daily. Management will determine and advise.
JOSH
The union is requesting a copy of the new CPAA collective agreementwhen available, potentially impacts CUPW RSMC. Management will forward when available.
MODIFIED DUTIES-WSIB NOTIFICATION
Management stated that the employee completes and forwards to the WSIB a voucher equivalent to the amount paid to their helper for duties unable to complete.
GORMLEY
Management to obtain and forward decision number MS100258, site # L2160 of June 7, 2006 by Mr. Shimono to union.
NEW C/A CHANGES-BIDDING VACANT ROUTES
The union stated that the new bidding process for a discharged employee’s route were not followed. M. Beamish has previously confirmed implementation of the new process, will follow up to determine if followed in this instance.
The union stated that recently in Unionville employees were provided one hour to accept/decline route being offered. Management to review with M. Beamish, normally vacant route posted, will confirm with D. Robertson if done.

NEW BUSINESS
MAGNETIC SIGNS
The union inquired whether their use is mandatory, management replying that they are mandatory. It was confirmed that roof top lights are available. If to be installed on a van and additional wiring is required, this can be obtained, paid for by the Corporation.
SPLITTING OF ROUTES-UNIONVILLE
The union inquired about the splitting of routes in Unionville that are excessively long. Management stated that the c/a sets out a process for the splitting of routes as such. The union believed that employees were being required to select the portion they wish to retain without knowing the value of the portion they wish to retain. The union will confirm this and advise.
