MINUTES OF CONSULTATION BETWEEN CANADA POST CORPORATION AND CUPW - SCARBOROUGH LOCAL (Group One Retail) Held at 280 Progress Avenue on Wednesday December 01, 2004

Keith Ratchford Michael Duquette Jay Connery Learie Charles Ashok Kapoor Gord MillerThe purpose of this meeting was to discuss the annual Vacation leave and Pre-retirement leave for the 2005-2006 period for RETAIL, East PO.
The Corporation provided to the Union:
- A list of entitlements for vacation leave and pre-retirement leave for the 2005-2006 year. - Annual leave bidding form (Group One) for 2005-2006.
Copies of the above are attached to these minutes.
The Union will confirm the vacation leave entitlements and inform the management of any amendment.
For Richmond Hill/ Markham/ Scarborough there will be allocation of 3-FT/3-FT/2-FT per Block respectively. There will be allocation of 1-PT per Block and there will be a separate schedule for Part time employees.
It was agreed that the process for 2005-2006 would be the same as in the previous year. This would mean, in accordance with Clause 19:14(a).
Long Term Absence
Employee on LTA will not bid for vacation leave. Parties will consult upon their return to work place.
Employee accommodated under Art 54
This employee is taking the BERLITZ aptitude test for the French language. Being successful employee will bid with Retail, otherwise will bid where the substantive position in C&D.
Employees on Loan
C&D employees on assignment to RETAIL will bid for their vacation leave at their respective home station in C&D.
Pre-retirement Leave
Pre-retirement leave will be scheduled in one (1) week blocks, separate from the scheduling of vacation leave, subject to operational requirements. If there is a conflict, parties agree to consult the matter.
It was agreed subject to confirmation of entitlements that the first round of bidding would commence week of December 06, 2004 closing on December 31, 2004. The second round bid would commence on January 10, 2005 and close on February 04, 2005. There will be a 3rd round bid, to schedule the identified weeks, carried over from the previous year’s Vacation leave period. Final results will be posted by Feb 18, 2005.
