Old Business
1) Pay Issues Union – raised a concern that vouchers are not being reviewed prior to submission by the stn, have cases were employees were not paid due to missing information on the voucher. Mgmt – will reinforce with stns the need to ensure forms are completed prior to submission to Delivery Planning for action. D. Kane responded to several concerns that were raised previously form West Beaver Creek. Union – understand that SS 3 in Brooklyn has been increased several with no pay increase, this was prior to Jan.04 Mgmt – advised the Union to contact S. Valla in this matter.
2) RSMC Relief Proposal Mgmt – advised the Union that his issue is with the transition committee nationally and as such cannot be dealt with locally.
3) Stouffville Union – raised a concern that no representative form this office is present to address the outstanding concerns. Mgmt – provided the Union with Profac’s number to call for issues that require reporting as deficient. 1 866 771-1212
New Business1) Access to CPAA OfficesUnion – the Oshawa raised a concern that their safety rep was being given access to the CPPA offices covered under their Local. Mgmt - will follow up, however provided copy of the letter sent to CUPW members of the transition committee nationally with respect to the “ employee representative’ on health and safety committees. Union – responded that this issue is the subject of a national policy grievance N- 03- R0004
2) Maple Union – raised a concern that the RSMC employees are being directed to take unaddressed admail home for collating and to return for next day delivery. This could result in criminal charges against these individuals Mgmt – Will escalate to Director of Retail.
3) Changes to Routes Union – concerned that employees are being asked to complete and sign the annual inspection report even though they are only provided four ( 4) of six (6) pages and then not provided a copy of what was submitted. Mgmt – will follow up with Delivery Planning
4) Civic Addresses Union – is it procedure to have RR employees attempt to all families, where multiple family names exist, items that do not have a civic address where they are in use. This is taking place in some offices. Mgmt – will follow up with respect to directory service required
5) Definition of Unaddressed Admail set Union – inquired as to what is considered a “set” of unaddressed admail Does it require complete coverage to be considered a set, as an example, a route consists of farms and residential homes and an unaddressed admail for farms is accepted for delivery, is that a set of admail for purposes of calculating payment under schedule A. Mgmt – will follow –up with Delivery Planning
The Union raised a concern that no representatives attend from Retail to respond to issues in those offices under their supervision. Will be requesting a separate meeting to that end.
