UNFINISHED BUSINESS
PARCELS TO DOOR
Three 3 employees have paperwork, list provided by G. Pratt. Supporting documentation to be forwarded. A MOA without prejudice or precedent will be prepared, the Corporation to pay $2700.00.
YEARLY INSPECTIONS
Richmond Hill, Pickering and Ajax to provide updates of inspections.
SPLITTING OF ROUTES-UNIONVILLE
The parties agreed that G. Pratt and S. Valla will review the routes with the intent to build as close to 8 hours where practicable and reasonable. This is without prejudice or precedent.
STOUFFVILLE 9 HOUR ROUTE
Update to be provided. The union has suggested that this work be provided to the YDC for service. Management to review.
PICKERING
The union raised a concern that an employee who is absent on injury on duty and has a relative performing their route is being followed by supervisory staff and may also involve others. B. Stephen is aware of this case. A four-page complaint was provided at the meeting. Management to review complaint and respond.
WBC
The union raised the issue of two routes being merged, SS2 and 9, the merging has been delayed, originally scheduled for September, now February, there is a loss for the employee involving stat holiday pay. Management to review and respond with respect to the delay.
RELIEF
Thornhill has been identified in the first phase as receiving 2 relief, another 100 to be identified, recommendations to be accepted. The primary responsibility of the relief will be for vacation coverage. At the discretion of management they may be utilized for other absences. A RSMC who has a replacement may proceed on vacation over and above the relief staff as long as their replacement is available to do their route. Vacation selection will consist of 2 columns, the first for an initial 2-week selection, the other for the remaining week. On call relief are restricted to 2 weeks in their first year. The selection of 2 weeks of vacation must be consecutive. RSMC will be required to observe their vacation. The selection will be by the calendar, not blocks. Ballots will be issued effective Jan 22, 2007, close Jan 28, 2007, results posted Jan 30, 2007. Vacation weeks commence as of Feb 5, 2007.
The two relief presently performing other work will be advised that their assignments will be as employed, on call relief. Selection of assignment is by ranking. The issue of training for replacements was addressed, this to be reviewed.
Unionville and Rich Hill were recommended as facilities for the next phase.
Next meeting is scheduled for February 14, 2007
