MINUTES OF MONTHLY CONSULTATION

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
PARCELS TO DOOR
Six employees have paperwork; this is to be provided to John Hill, the Corporation will pay the sum of $2,700.
YEARLY INSPECTIONS
In Richmond Hill inspections are being conducted on an ongoing basis and are being measured nationally.
The union requested confirmation whether a recent posting occurred for three days, is believed employees were given one-hour notice only. Kevin Burtt to review and reinforce.
In reference to the splitting of routes in Unionville there are five routes in question. J. Hill to discuss with S. Valla configuration of routes of eight hours provided geographically is feasible.
The union stated there are waiting a response to the HH reduction on route SS24. L. Waine to review with J. Coe and S. Valla.
RELIEF
The parties are waiting the signing of a MOA from the national level. Criteria and relief coverage will be addressed upon receipt.
The union stated that the WBC has two relief employees who presently are covering IOD absences, how will vacation be covered in this situation.
Management to review and advise.
NEW BUSINESS
WSIB
The union stated that on average time off injuries for employees represented by the Urban collective agreement is seven days while RSMC is sixty-five days. The issue involves modified duties. Management stated that this issue is more properly an issue to be dealt with at the national level.
PICKERING
SS 2,4 and 6 Route summary updates are improper. These have been sent to S. Valla for response however not received. In the case of SS2 the parcel and PCI numbers are incorrect and outstanding from September 2006. There was an issue concerning the count recorded on the log sheet, the RSMC believes the volumes are larger and that the mileage is evaluated at a lower rate.
The union stated that in Ajax three routes have over 1,000 POCs, there is a need to create new routes.
Management stated that in the last month two new routes have been created. G. Pratt to advise which routes are believed to have improper POCs.
PICKERING
The union stated that persons unknown are following two helpers. This issue has been reported to the police and corporate security has been involved. One of the helpers is the daughter of the other helper.
This issue to be followed up to ensure resolution incurs.
