THORNHILL DELIVERY CENTRE SHIFT ALTERATION JOINT CUPW SCAR. LOCAL AND CPC MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION HELD ON AUGUST 16, 2006
ATTENDEE’S: Mike Duquette, Leary Charles, Sam Ottaviano, Kristopher Picken, Laura Jewel, Kevin Burtt, Soren Madsen, Jeff Paulin, Randy Saunders. REGRETS: Ashok Kapoor, Emer Herrera.
Parties discussed Group 1 employee’s seniority list. Parties were concerned with the differences in positions numbers, and start times. Parties discussed possible pay issues with regards to schedule differences. Parties phoned Emer Herrera to locate proper position numbers and schedules. Parties discussed need to resolve P/T schedule and concerns with unscheduled days. Parties agreed to discuss P/T schedule at a later date. Parties agreed that position numbers must be accurate before commencing bidding. Parties discussed Group 1 shift 1 alteration proposal whereby all shift 1 Group 1 employees would have a start shift time at 24:00 hours. (Except for two (2) fulltime positions which would remain 02:00–10:00 hours). Parties agreed to the bid posting 12 Group 1 positions, two (2) of which are Relief Positions. Parties agreed to convert one (1) Group 1 shift 1 position to a Group 1 shift 2 Registration Relief position (06:00-14:00 hours) for bid. Parties agreed that Emer Herrera will create bid sheet for review prior to bidding commencement. Parties agreed to further review employee accommodations (ie. shift restrictions, Art. 54, etc.) Parties agreed that updated position numbers would be distributed to all parties involved Parties agreed to meet again to discuss shift alteration proposal for part-timer’s schedule. Parties agreed to meet again September 20, 2006.
