MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT between CANADA POST CORPORATION and CANADIAN UNION OF POSTAL WORKERS regarding the delivery of the IKEA catalogues (Christmas) November 2004
The following is in reference to our meetings of September 8, 2004 regarding an opportunity to deliver an IKEA catalogue within Unaddressed Admail.
In summary, IKEA would like Canada Post to deliver the catalogues in November 2004 to apartment (approx. 1.2 million) in selected FSA’s within the provinces where they have IKEA store. The details of this mailing are as follows:
ü Size / dimension: 8.5 X 9 inches; ü Weight: 71 grams; ü Delivery start date will begin the week of November 8, 2004; ü Delivery window: Up to 5 days ü Compensation: .04¢ cents per catalogue. (without prejudice or precedent to any position the parties may take in any similar matter in the future)
It was determined that Canada Post will be delivering the IKEA catalogues as per current operational procedures to these apartment buildings.
It is agreed by the Parties that if Canada Post obtain the distribution to houses (approx 2.4 million) that it will be part of the above Memorandum of Agreement.
