GROUP 2 TRANSFER RIGHTS
LETTER CARRIERS & MSC’S

    This is just a reminder for all group 2 employees, particularly part time MSC’s.

    If you change positions to a different component you are required to submit all new transfer requests.

    For example, if you are an MSC at 280 Progress and recently bid a position in Willowdale, you are now required to complete new transfers from your new location/component.  Your old transfer requests from Scarborough Component would no longer be valid.  This same principle applies to all other group 2 employees.

    Additionally, please note that if you decline an offer for transfer or promotion for a particular location, your name will be removed from that particular transfer/promotion list.  Again, you will be required to submit new transfer requests.

    All transfer applications are valid for a period of 12 months.  Additionally, a transfer application can only be considered for a particular position if it is on file 10 working days prior to the position becoming vacant.
