A second bargaining unit has been certified for the Toronto Courier Local - 104.

·               On March 22, the Metro-Toronto Region filed an application for certification with the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) to represent the 11 workers at Turtle Express.

·               On June 9, 2010, the CIRB ordered that CUPW be certified as the bargaining agent for:

“all dependent contractors working as car and bicycle couriers for T.O. Turtle Express Inc. in Toronto, Ontario, and the surrounding area, excluding office staff.”

·               Two other applications for certification have been filed to represent couriers at QMS and Action Messengers in the Greater Toronto Area.
