PARCEL MODEL

Y.D.C. CLERK CHANGES

The Y.D.C. employer has sent a notice to the Regional Office of the Union asking for consultations on Group 1 staffing.  The employer intends to change some of the shifts and duties at the Y.D.C.  The employer has not provided any details of their proposal at this time.

The Local will be looking for more FT positions and day shift positions, and better hours of work for the off shifts.  The employer wants more PT claiming flexibility, but if the PT are working 8 hours a day, there is no flexibility.

Once consultations are arranged and the new schedules are finalized, the Local will provide you with more information.  Brother Fillier, formerly a Parcel Support Clerk, will be working on the MSC Restructure and will be included in the Consultations.

In Solidarity,

Mike Duquette

President
